My passion is creating and displaying art, organizing art installations in otherwise depressing, stressful, sorrowful environments and bringing joy and peace and hope. I also serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in dependency and foster care. Creating art with traumatized and neglected children and painting their faces is a natural way for them to communicate and have some reprieve. Additionally I have taught art to groups of adults with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Creating art with them triggered and restored lost memories.
